Blaack Onyx and Sterling Silver Ring, size 6-1/2. This a hand crafted art piece, jewelry that makes a fashion statement. I personally selected the onyx cabochon, then hand forged the sterling silver to take advantage of the beauty of the stone.

Onyx is layered chalcedony. The parallel banded variety of the silicate mineral chalcedony. Agate and onyx are both varieties of layered chalcedony. They differ only in the form of the bands: agate has curved bands and onyx has parallel bands. It takes its name from the Greek word for claw and is said to be the eleventh stone on the breastplate of the high priest.

Metaphysical: A healing stone. The physical healing properties of onyx are connected to our root chakras. This helps our bodies alleviate the symptoms of a number of ailments that are typical of a root chakra that is imbalanced. Onyx can assist in helping to clear worries and concerns that stem from negativity.
