The open back allows visibility of the beautiful banding in this agate.

Laguna Agate, considered to be the most colorful banded agate in the world. It is found in a north-south trending mountain range almost due south of El Paso, Texas and east of Mexican Highway 45 in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.
